Dr Bill Law: Founding Fellow, National Institute for Careers Education & Counselling (slides)
Dr Rachel Mulvey: Associate Dean of Psychology, University of East London (slides)
Following the success of the five John Killeen Annual Lectures, NICEC – in association with CRAC – promoted this invitation debate.
Career guidance is back on the policy agenda – the launch of the Government’s Information, Advice and Guidance Strategy and the creation of a new “Careers Service” for adults are imminent. But what should be the role of career guidance and what contribution can it make to the social and economic realities of the modern world?
Bill Law and Rachel Mulvey offered their challenging perspectives to stimulate a debate that should engage all with a commitment to careers work and provide an opportunity for capturing a broad range of views and contributions.
The NICEC/CRAC Debate was kindly sponsored by Prospects.
