CRAC, the Careers Research & Advisory Centre Ltd, is pleased to announce that Clare Viney has been appointed Chief Executive Officer with effect from Monday 3 October 2016

Clare was Director of Membership and External Affairs at the Royal Society of Chemistry. She replaces Ellen Pearce, who was CEO from 2011 and has chosen not to return from maternity leave.

CRAC, the independent organisation dedicated to supporting career development and active, career-related learning is a registered UK charity and has been operating since 1964.

Key current initiatives for CRAC include leading and managing Vitae, a major international programme dedicated to realising the potential of researchers, supporting those who advise on young people’s career decisions, and providing research and careers innovation to a range of sectors and client groups.

Clare Viney said:
For the last 16 years I have worked for an organisation that recognises the importance of investing in the development of future generations and of the value of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I am now hugely excited to take the opportunity to lead CRAC, an equally passionate organisation that believes in empowering people to achieve their career and development goals.”
