Drs. Astrid Wissenburg announced as new Chair

CRAC is delighted to announce the appointment of Drs. Astrid Wissenburg as Chair of the Board of Trustees. Astrid is currently a CRAC Trustee and Director of Research at the University of Exeter where one of her main responibilities is the delivery of the University Research and Impact Strategy. She has a 20 year plus career in higher education and research, including senior leadership roles at the Research Councils and at the Open University.

Clare Viney, CEO, CRAC said: “We welcome Astrid as our new Chair of the Board. She has a wealth of experience to bring to the role and a commitment to making knowledge and research accessible and usable, as widely as possible. I look forward to working with her and colleagues to drive the strategic direction of CRAC, nationally and internationally.”

Astrid takes the reigns from Indi Seehra, Director of Human Resources, London School of Economics, ”I’d like to pay tribute to Indi and thank him for his contribution over the last 6 years. The organisation has gone through a period of significant change and he has been instrumental in developing its long-term future”.
