Rachel Cox
Director of Strategic Operations
As Director of Strategic Operations, Rachel leads on business planning oversight and resource management. She is part of the leadership team with responsibility for the strategic direction of the organisation, with a particular focus on operational improvement, growth and efficiency. Rachel leads on areas including resourcing, finance, HR and people development, governance and risk, digital transformation and IT, marketing and communications, products and services, events and project management workflow.
Following a career in academic publishing and content management, Rachel joined CRAC in 2019 to engage the Vitae community through events, community collaborations and content creation, and to manage policy related projects and initiatives. After six years of working across a range of Vitae products and services, including leading the membership and events team, Rachel joined the CRAC leadership team to lead on the development and implementation of organisational strategic change.
With a City and Guilds qualification in leadership from the British Army and experience of process improvement as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Rachel went on to complete the Small Business Charter’s Help to Grow Management Course in 2024 delivered by Cranfield University. She also holds a degree in Archaeology and Ancient History from University of Birmingham.
